Regular Season Round 8: Tarbes - Flammes 64-78
Date: November 27, 2016
No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Flammes (6-2) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Tarbes (1-7) 78-64. The game without a history. Flammes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The winners were led by American forward Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis (180-93, college: Connecticut) who scored that evening 23 points and international guard Amel Bouderra (160-89) supported her with 11 points, 9 assists and 4 steals. Even 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by Australian center Abby Bishop (189-88, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for Tarbes. Senegalese point guard Bintou Dieme-Marizy (164-84) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Flammes have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Lattes Montp. and Landes. Tarbes lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. Flammes' next round opponent will be Lattes Montpellier (#3) on the road, which may be the game of the day. Tarbes will play against Angers (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
