Important game to mention about took place in Seu D'urgell. Third ranked Gernika (8-2) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked Cadi La Seu (5-5) 54-53 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Cadi La Seu. Cadi La Seu was ahead by 4 points after three quarters before a 12-7 charge of Gernika, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Cadi La Seu to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American Amisha Carter (186-82, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 6 rebounds. Argentinian power forward Victoria Llorente (184-96) contributed with 4 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. International center Georgina Bahi (190-89, agency: Regeneracom Sports) replied with 18 points and 6 rebounds and guard Andrea Vilaro (182-93, college: Florida) added 5 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Cadi La Seu. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Gernika maintains third position with 8-2 record behind leader Avenida. Cadi La Seu at the other side dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. They share the position with Bembibre and Al-Qazeres. Gernika will play against Gipuzkoa UPV (#10) in San Sebastian in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cadi La Seu will play on the road against Campus Promete (#11) in Logrono and hopes to get back on the winning track.
