Regular Season Round 9: JAS FBG - Wisla Can-Pack 59-83

Leader Wisla Can-Pack delivered the eighth victory. This time they crushed 8th ranked JAS FBG (4-5) 83-59 in Sosnowiec. Wisla Can-Pack shot the lights out from three nailing 17 long-distance shots on high 60.7 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for Chilean center Ziomara Morrison (194-89) who led her team to a victory with 17 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Meighan Simmons (175-92, college: Tennessee) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Wisla Can-Pack players scored in double figures. American center Nicole Michael (188-87, college: Syracuse, agency: Two Points) answered with 8 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import point guard Ketia Swanier (170-86, college: Connecticut) added 10 points and 4 assists in the effort for JAS FBG. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Wisla Can-Pack (8-1) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place. JAS FBG at the other side dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with CCC Polkowice. Wisla Can-Pack will play against league's second-placed AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski in Gorzow Wlkp. in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. JAS FBG will play on the road against AZS UMCS (#5) in Lublin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
