Everything could happen in Zaragoza at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Mann Filter and 12th ranked Zamarat had identical 3-6 record. This time Mann Filter used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Zamora 77-65 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by Mann Filter. Zamarat was better in second period 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Roneeka Hodges (180-82, college: Florida St., agency: Josep and Nicolas) fired 24 points for the winners. The other American import forward Alisia Jenkins (186-94, college: S.Florida) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Shereesha Richards (185-93, college: Albany) produced 20 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and DR Congolese forward Chanel Mokango (196-88, college: Mississippi St.) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Zamarat players scored in double figures. Mann Filter (4-6) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Gipuzkoa UPV and Ferrol. Loser Zamarat dropped to the eleventh position with seven games lost. Mann Filter will face CREF Hola (#12) in Madrid in the next round. Zamarat will play at home against Universitario de Ferrol and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
