Regular Season Round 6: Pauian - KKL 79-69

Rather expected game when 6th ranked KKL (2-6) was defeated by fourth ranked Pauian (4-4) 79-69. Pauian had a 30-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. International power forward Quincy Davis (206-83, college: Tulane) notched 6 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international swingman Ching-Pang Lin (190-85) supported him with 15 points. Even a double-double of 38 points (!!!) and 20 rebounds by American forward Eugene Phelps (198-90, college: Long Beach St.) did not help to save the game for KKL. Guard Li-Jen Lin (185-90) added 14 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Pauian maintains fourth position with 4-4 record. KKL at the other side keeps the sixth place with six games lost. Pauian will play against league's second-placed Yulon Luxgen in the next round and it may be the game of the week. KKL will play against Dacin Tigers (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
