Leader Toshiba Thunders recorded the sixteenth victory. This time they crushed 6th ranked Toyama Grouses (2-17) 87-67. The game was mostly controlled by Toshiba Thunders. Toyama Grouses was better in third quarter 31-27. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Toshiba Thunders made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Toshiba Thunders outrebounded Toyama Grouses 44-25 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a quality performance for American forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Takumi Hasegawa (190-89) accounted for 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. American forward Sam Willard (205-88, college: Pacific, agency: Pensack Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and Puerto Rican center Angel Garcia (209-88, college: Memphis) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Toyama Grouses in the defeat. Four Toyama Grouses players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Toshiba Thunders. They maintain first place with 16-3 record. Toyama Grouses lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 17 games lost. Toshiba Thunders' next round opponent will be Hokkaido L. (#5) in Saporro.
