The game in Saporro supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Chiba Jets (12-7) played at the court of 5th ranked Hokkaido L. (5-14). Chiba Jets smashed Hokkaido L. 84-62 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by Chiba Jets. Hokkaido L. was better in fourth quarter 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Hokkaido L. 38-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. The former international point guard Yuki Togashi (170-93) fired 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. International power forward Ryumo Ono (197-88) chipped in 19 points. Four Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. Chiba Jets' coach Atsushi Ono felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Jahmar Thorpe (198-84, college: Houston) produced 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and the other American import center Daniel Miller (211-91, college: Georgia Tech) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Chiba Jets. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Sanen. Loser Hokkaido L. keeps the fifth position with 14 games lost. Chiba Jets will face Hitachi Sunrockers (#3) in Tokyo in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Hokkaido L. will play on the road against the league's leader Toshiba Thunders in Kanagawa and hope to win that game.
