The game in Lund was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Trelleborg (5-2) played at the court of 6th ranked IK Eos (4-4). Trelleborg defeated IK Eos 100-86 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Trelleborg. IK Eos managed to win second period 27-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 28-of-31 free shots (90.3 percent) during the game, while IK Eos only scored six points from the stripe. They outrebounded IK Eos 56-36 including a 40-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by guard Papy Ndiaye (187-94) who scored that evening 38 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and Australian guard John Fitzgerald (193-84, college: Lindsey Wilson) supported him with 19 points and 7 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Even 20 points and 8 rebounds by guard Gustav Sundstrom (197-91) did not help to save the game for IK Eos. Point guard Adnan Karovic (188-88) added 10 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Four Trelleborg and five IK Eos players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Trelleborg maintains fifth position with 5-2 record. Loser IK Eos keep the sixth place with four games lost. They share the position with Norrort. Trelleborg will meet at home Huddinge (#7) in the next round. IK Eos will play against Huddinge and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
