Regular Season Round 7: Partizan - Triglav 73-45

The game between second ranked Slovenian Triglav (4-3) and fourth ranked Serbian Partizan (3-5) was the most important one in the last round on Wednesday night. Triglav was crushed by Partizan in Beograd 73-45. The game without a history. Partizan led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Triglav to just 7 points in second quarter. Partizan dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Triglav's 26. Partizan forced 21 Triglav turnovers and outrebounded them 38-25 including a 25-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Suzana Milovanovic (185-79) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Power forward Ivanka Matic (193-79, agency: Regeneracom Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. Five Partizan players scored in double figures. Partizan's coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sandra Jevtovic (187-93) produced 12 points and Marusa Senicar (183-97) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Partizan have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place in A. Triglav at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Partizan are looking forward to face Play Off (#4) in Sarajevo in the next round. Triglav will play at home against the league's leader Beroe and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
