Regular Season Round 10: Sant Adria - Joventut LC 64-49

Everything went according to plan in Sant Adria de Besos where third ranked Sant Adria (8-2) beat 6th ranked Joventut LC (6-4) 64-49 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Sant Adria. Joventut LC was better in fourth quarter 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sant Adria forced 23 Joventut LC turnovers. Swingman Itziar Llobet (180-93, college: Kent St., agency: Regeneracom Sports) scored 19 points and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Cris Hurtado (187-92) chipped in 8 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Nerea Garmendia responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds and German Elia Vives Riba scored 8 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sant Adria have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Newly promoted Joventut LC dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Sant Adria will face ADBA (#10) in Aviles in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Joventut LC will play at home against Cortegada (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
