Regular Season Round 15: Indios - Soles 86-95

Date: December 1, 2016
The game in Ciudad Juarez was also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked Soles (8-7) played at the court of 8th ranked Ciudad (5-10). Soles managed to secure a 9-point victory 95-86. Ciudad was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 50-40 second half run of Soles. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Justin Keenan (202-88, college: Ferris St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). The former international point guard Pedro Meza (186-85, college: Arizona W. CC, agency: Pro Sports) accounted for 13 points and 11 assists for the winning side. Soles' coach Alejandro Martinez allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American swingman Marcus Morrison (198-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) came up with 20 points and the other American import guard Tony Bennett (185-84, college: Bradley) added 18 points and 4 assists respectively for Ciudad in the defeat. Five Soles and four Ciudad players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Soles. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Garzas. Ciudad at the other side dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Soles' next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Correcaminos (#10) in Ciudad Victoria which should be theoretically an easy game. Ciudad will play at home against Santos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
