Regular Season Round 15: Toros - Correcaminos 89-92

The most exciting game of round 15 in the LNBP took place in Nuevo Laredo. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of second-best Toros (10-6) to tenth ranked Correcaminos (3-13) 92-89 on Thursday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Toros. The guests trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 92-89. The best player for the winners was American forward Kennedy Jones (, college: Arlington Baptist) who scored 44 points (!!!). Canadian forward Grandy Glaze (204, college: Grand Canyon) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Sammy Yeager (193-89, college: CS Fullerton) who recorded 28 points and 4 assists and the other American import forward Damion James (201-87, college: Texas) added 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Correcaminos maintains tenth place with 3-13 record. Newly promoted Toros keep the second position with six games lost. They share it with Panteras. Correcaminos are looking forward to face higher ranked Soles (#5) in Mexicali in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Toros will play on the road against the league's second-placed Panteras where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
