Regular Season Round 13: Shandong GS - Jilin NE T. 94-93

A very interesting game took place in Jinan. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 10th ranked Jilin Tigers (6-7) to ninth ranked Shandong Bulls (7-6) 94-93 on Friday evening. Shandong Bulls forced 26 Jilin Tigers turnovers. 26 personal fouls committed by Jilin Tigers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. International forward Yanyuhang Ding (200-93) nailed 37 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds for the winning side and American forward Jason Thompson (211-86, college: Rider) accounted for 25 points and 14 rebounds. Four Shandong Bulls players scored in double figures. American forward Malcolm Thomas (206-88, college: San Diego St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!), 27 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals (on 17-of-21 shooting from the field) and international guard Jinming Cui (193-92) added 15 points and 5 assists respectively for Jilin Tigers in the defeat. Shandong Bulls moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Shanxi Zh. Jilin Tigers at the other side keep the tenth position with seven games lost. Shandong Bulls' next round opponent will be higher ranked Liaoning Hunters (#5) in Yingkou and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jilin Tigers will play on the road against TianJin Steel (#14) in Tianjin and hope to win that game.
