Rather predictable result in San Juan del Puerto where sixth ranked San Juan (4-5) defeated bottom-ranked Real Betis SVL 2 (0-9) 83-75 on Friday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Real Betis SVL 2 won third quarter 29-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. San Juan forced 21 Real Betis SVL 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 37-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for guard Antonio Gomez (193-79) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Samuel Ceada (198-91) helped adding 13 points and 7 rebounds. Four San Juan players scored in double figures. Polish point guard Andrzej Pluta (183-0) responded with 19 points and guard Alejandro Fierro (186-99) scored 16 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. San Juan moved-up to fifth place in Group D-B. Real Betis SVL 2 lost their ninth game in a row. They still close the standings with nine games lost.
