Everything went according to plan when tenth ranked Caceres Basket (6-7) defeated at home bottom-ranked Barca II (2-11) 83-78 on Friday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 50-40 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Caceres Basket made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for Montenegrin guard Nikola Rakocevic (191-91, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who helped to win the game recording 30 points. Croatian center Aleksandar Marcius (208-90, college: De Paul) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Forward Jordi Trias (208-80) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and naturalized Bosnian Nedim Djedovic (205-97, agency: BeoBasket) added 21 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) in the effort for Barca II. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Caceres Basket have a solid series of three victories in a row. Caceres Basket maintains tenth place with 6-7 record, which they share with Melilla and Palma. Barca II lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Caceres Basket will face higher ranked Ourense (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
