Regular Season Round 13: Shenzhen L. - Tianjin GL 103-87

There was no surprise in Shenzhen where 14th ranked TianJin Steel (5-8) was defeated by fourth ranked Leopards (10-3) 103-87 on Friday. Leopards dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to TianJin Steel's 50. TianJin Steel was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Polish-Swedish power forward Maciej Lampe (211-85) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Jeremy Pargo (188-86, college: Gonzaga) chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. American forward Jeremy Tyler (208-91, college: Louisville) produced 30 points and 9 rebounds and Palestinian center Sani Sakakini (204-88) added 18 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Leopards and four TianJin Steel players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Leopards. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. TianJin Steel lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with eight games lost. Leopards will face Beijing Ducks (#7) on the road in the next round. TianJin Steel will play against Jilin Tigers (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
