Regular Season Round 13: Qingdao E. - Shanghai S. 98-111

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Shanghai Sharks (12-1) defeated on the road 13th ranked Qingdao Eagles (5-8) 111-98 on Friday. American point guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89, college: BYU) fired 44 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. French Guerschon Yabusele (201-95) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Jerrelle Benimon (203-91, college: Towson) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) added 26 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Shanghai Sharks. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Guangsha L. Qingdao Eagles lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the thirteenth place with eight games lost. Shanghai Sharks will face Bayi Rockets (#18) in Ningbo in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Qingdao Eagles will play at home against Fujian (#16) and hope to win that game.
