Bottom-ranked Alghero (0-8) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their eighth consecutive match to seventh ranked Scrivia (6-3) 66-59 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 18-8 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was center Clara Salvini (180-92) who had a double-double by scoring 31 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Silvia Gabba (170-82) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Bulgarian point guard Iva Georgieva (170-96, college: Salt Lake CC) who recorded 26 points and 6 rebounds and center Alexandra Petrova (185-97) added 10 points and 17 rebounds respectively. Scrivia maintains seventh place in A2 with 6-3 record. Newly promoted Alghero still closes the standings with eight games lost. Scrivia will meet San Salvatore (#9) on the road in the next round.
