Very expected game in Bialystok where 13th ranked Rosa III Radom (1-11) was defeated by ninth ranked Zubry (6-7) 81-70 on Saturday. Zubry outrebounded Rosa III Radom 47-32 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Power forward Marcin Monach (201-80) fired a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Arkadiusz Zabielski (197-84) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Krystian Tyszka (199-98) produced 18 points and 7 rebounds and Mikolaj Krakowiak (190-99) added 10 points, 6 assists and 4 steals respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Zubry maintains ninth place in Group B with 6-7 record, which they share with Shmoolky W-wa. Rosa III Radom lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. Zubry will face higher ranked Stal SW (#5) in Stalowa Wola in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rosa III Radom will play on the road against Shmoolky W-wa (#10) in Warszawa and hope to win that game.
