Regular Season Round 11: Tarragona - Cambados 71-82

There was no surprise when 10th ranked CB Tarragona 2017 (4-7) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Cambados (7-4) 82-71. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. It was an exceptional evening for Congolese forward Charles Nkaloulou (199-94) who led the winners and scored 32 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Juan Rubio (196-95) accounted for 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Center Ferran Torres (201-88) came up with 17 points and 7 rebounds and American Orion Outerbridge (206-88, college: Rhode Island) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for CB Tarragona 2017 in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Cambados moved-up to third place, which they share with Lucentum and Sammic ISB. CB Tarragona 2017 at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with seven games lost. Cambados' next round opponent will be Navarra (#10) in Pamplona and are hoping to win another game. CB Tarragona 2017 will play on the road against Agustinos-Leclerc in Leon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
