Regular Season Round 11: L'Hospitalet - Zornotza 98-71

We should mention about the upset which took place in Hospitalet, where higher ranked Zornotza (6-5) was outleveled in a road game by fifteenth ranked L'Hospitalet (4-7) 98-71 on Saturday. The game without a history. L'Hospitalet led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. L'Hospitalet looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for guard Gabriel Diaz-Morera (196-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Manny Ogunfolu (201-89, college: S.Indiana) helped adding 13 points and 7 rebounds. Five L'Hospitalet players scored in double figures. L'Hospitalet's coach Jorge Tarragona felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Serbian power forward Vasilije Vucetic (209-96) responded with 17 points and Mali-American power forward Nouhoum Bocoum (208-94, college: Arkansas St., agency: SDJ Sports) scored 19 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). L'Hospitalet moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Tarragona and Albacete. Loser Zornotza keeps the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with Valladolid and Alcazar. L'Hospitalet will meet higher ranked Sammic ISB (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Zornotza will play against the league's leader CB Granada and will have a slim chance for a victory.
