Regular Season Round 13: RPC Anderlecht - Ieper 72-79

Very expected game when 11th ranked RPC Anderlecht (3-9) lost at home to seventh ranked Ieper (6-7) 79-72 on Saturday. Ieper made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for Spanish center Malick Fall (211-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Alexander Schepens (191-93) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Geoffrey Hockins (188-88) answered with 24 points and naturalized DR Congolese Constantin Tshimuanga (202-86) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for RPC Anderlecht. RPC Anderlecht's coach Philippe Hoornaert rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ieper maintains seventh place with 6-7 record, which they share with Houthalen and Melsele. Newly promoted RPC Anderlecht keeps the eleventh position with nine games lost. Ieper will face Ekeren (#13) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. RPC Anderlecht will play against Gent Hawks and hope to win that game.
