There was a surprise result in Zamora where ninth ranked Innova Chef (4-5) outleveled 4th placed Calidus Gal.COB (5-3) 74-53 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Innova Chef. Calidus Gal.COB was better in second period 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Innova Chef looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for Senegalese center Alioune Senghor (200-96) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Dionte Adams (201-94, college: Hampton) helped adding 9 points and 12 rebounds. Adams is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Georgian swingman Luka Bulashvili (192-98, agency: Dynamics Global Management) responded with 19 points and forward Cristian Iglesias (198-94) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Innova Chef moved-up to eighth place in Group A-B, which they share with La Fecha. Loser Calidus Gal.COB dropped to the seventh position with three games lost.
