Regular Season Round 4: Saitama Bron. - Tokyo Cinq R. 72-79

Date: December 3, 2016
Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Saitama Broncos (1-17) were defeated at home by fourth ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (7-11) 79-72 on Saturday. Saitama Broncos trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 28-22 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 72-79 at the end of the game. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Eric Anderson (204-93, college: New Haven, agency: Duran International) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 7 rebounds and forward Brennan McElroy (201-91, college: Indianapolis, agency: Duran International) who added 11 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Tokyo Cinq R. players scored in double figures. Tokyo Cinq R.'s coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Brent Jennings (193-88, college: So.Poly State, agency: Interperformances) responded with 23 points and 6 rebounds and forward Stanford Brown (204-90, college: Lamar) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds. Tokyo Cinq R. have a solid three-game winning streak. Despite that victory Tokyo Cinq R. went down to fifth position due to points difference. Loser Saitama Broncos keep the eighth place with 17 games lost. Tokyo Cinq R. will face league's leader Fukuoka Rizing at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Saitama Broncos will play against Toyoda Gosei (#9) in Aichi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
