Quite upsetting was Medacbasket's home defeat in a game versus Coin 53-48. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-11. But Medacbasket won second period 12-9. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Coin held Medacbasket to an opponent 23.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 37.0 percent accuracy of the winners. Coin had a 37-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Juan Mendez (181-85) who scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Center Juan Vasco (200-83) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Pablo Ibanez (198-93) produced 10 points and 6 rebounds and Senegalese forward Serigne Sow (202-94) added 7 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Coin (4-5) moved-up to fifth place in Group D-A, which they share with Cazorla. Loser Medacbasket dropped to the eighth position with six games lost.
