Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Madrid: Real Canoe (#1) and Real Madrid II (#4). Real Madrid II was defeated at home 55-64 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Real Madrid II won third quarter 18-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Real Canoe won last quarter 23-15. They made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for forward Ignacio Fort (200-83) who led his team to a victory scoring 11 points and 9 rebounds. Center Pablo Rodrigo (204-86) helped adding 8 points and 10 rebounds. FYR Macedonian-Montenegrin forward Dino Radoncic (202-99) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and Uruguayan-Greek forward Maximiliano Sole (198-88, agency: Duran International) scored 4 points and 13 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Real Canoe. They maintain first place in Group B with 10-1 record. Loser Real Madrid II keeps the fourth position with four games lost.
