Regular Season Round 13: Melsele - Ninane 85-70

No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Melsele (6-7) beat at home 12th ranked Ninane (3-9) 85-70 on Saturday. They outrebounded Ninane 32-20 including 24 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Melsele especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. It was a very good performance for Francis Torreborre (184-93, agency: Promotex) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Thomas Lamot (190-87) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Five Melsele players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Francois Lhoest (196-85) answered with 31 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Raphael Allemand (185-93) added 15 points in the effort for Ninane. Melsele moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Ieper and Houthalen. Loser Ninane dropped to the eleventh position with nine games lost. Melsele will face higher ranked Royal Brussels (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ninane will play against Houthalen (#8) and hope to win that game.
