Regular Season Round 11: Antwerp - Mons-Hainaut 76-72

Very expected game when 7th ranked Belfius Mons-Hainaut (5-6) was defeated on the road by second ranked Antwerp Giants (8-3) 76-72 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Antwerp Giants dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Belfius Mons-Hainaut's 26. The best player for the winners was American power forward Gavin Ware (206-93, college: Mississippi St.) who scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Demitrius Conger (196-90, college: St.Bonaventure) chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds. The former international point guard Lionel Bosco (175-81, agency: Court Side) produced 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Croatian guard Ante Delas (200-88) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Four Belfius Mons-Hainaut players scored in double figures. Belfius Mons-Hainaut's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Antwerp Giants keep a position of league leader, which they share with Oostende. Belfius Mons-Hainaut lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with six games lost. Antwerp Giants will meet Leuven Bears (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Belfius Mons-Hainaut will play against Kangoeroes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
