Regular Season Round 10: Vellaznimi - Bashkimi 72-94

SuperLeague top team - Bashkimi (8-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Vellaznimi (1-9) in Gjakove 94-72. The game was mostly controlled by Bashkimi. Vellaznimi managed to win third quarter 33-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bashkimi looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Bosnian center Ermin Jazvin (209-80, agency: Mansfield and Associates) notched 23 points and 8 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and American guard Eric Palm (188-87, college: McKendree) supported him with 16 points and 6 assists. Five Bashkimi players scored in double figures. Even 26 points by Beqe Kovaqi (196-94) did not help to save the game for Vellaznimi. Guard Arian Qallaku (195-92) added 21 points for lost side. Vellaznimi's coach already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Bashkimi maintains first position with 8-1 record. Vellaznimi lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with nine games lost. Bashkimi will meet at home Ylli (#5) in the next round. Vellaznimi will play against Sigal Prishtina and hope to win that game.
