Regular Season Round 15: Prievidza - Rieker KN 100-80

There was no surprise when 7th ranked Rieker KN (6-6) was crushed on the road by fourth ranked Prievidza (10-3) 100-80 on Saturday. Prievidza shot 63.2 percent from the field and made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. Prievidza looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Andre Jones (191-90, college: Winthrop) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Croatian forward Igor Maric (196-85) helped adding 18 points. The best for the losing side was American point guard Farad Cobb (183-93, college: Cincinnati, agency: Three Eye Sports) with 20 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals and Slovenian forward Sinisa Bilic (201-89) scored 17 points. Five Prievidza and four Rieker KN players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Prievidza. Defending champion maintains fourth place with 10-3 record. Rieker KN lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with six games lost. Prievidza will meet Nitra (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Rieker KN will play against the league's leader Inter Bratislava and hope to secure a win.
