Very important is a road loss of second ranked Cortegada (6-3) against eleventh ranked Real Celta Vigo (4-6) on Saturday night. Visiting Cortegada was crushed by Real Celta Vigo in Vigo 72-50. Cortegada was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Real Celta Vigo dominated on the defensive end, holding Cortegada to just 2 points in third and fourth quarters and to 14 points in second half. Real Celta Vigo forced 24 Cortegada turnovers. Nigerian guard Adaeze Alaeze-Dinma (178, college: VCU, agency: Regeneracom Sports) notched 15 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Maria Ylenia Manzanares (175-83) supported her with 8 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals.
