Regular Season Round 10: Sleza Wroclaw - Energa Torun 91-67

An interesting game for Sleza Wroclaw (9-2) which hosted in Wroclaw 4th ranked Energa Torun (6-4). Second ranked Sleza Wroclaw had an easy win 91-67. Sleza Wroclaw made 20-of-25 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Sleza Wroclaw outrebounded Energa Torun 39-25 including 29 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American players dominated the game. Point guard Sharnee Zoll-Norman (170-86, college: Virginia) had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Nikki Greene (193-90, college: Penn St.) chipped in 13 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Five Sleza Wroclaw players scored in double figures. Sleza Wroclaw's coach Grzegorz Krzak felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side swingman Darxia Morris (172-89, college: UCLA) responded with 25 points and 4 steals and center Kelley Cain (198-89, college: Tennessee) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Sleza Wroclaw have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 9-2 record having just one point less than leader Wisla Can-Pack. Energa Torun at the other side dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. They share the position with Artego Bydg.. Sleza Wroclaw will play against JAS FBG (#8) in Sosnowiec in the next round where they are favorite. Energa Torun will play at home against Basket Gdynia and hopes to get back on the winning track.
