Regular Season Round 9: Dunkerque - Limoges 61-71

Bottom-ranked Limoges managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of two consecutive losses on Saturday night. This time they won against tenth-ranked Dunkerque 71-61. The game was mostly controlled by Limoges. Dunkerque managed to win second period 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Limoges forced 20 Dunkerque turnovers. It was a good game for U.S. Virgin Islands-American swingman Natalie Day (182-90, college: Portland, agency: Regeneracom Sports) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Tiphaine Melois (170-94) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Four Limoges players scored in double figures. Forward Anais Viale (188-91) answered with 15 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Dace Pierre-Joseph (187-81) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Dunkerque. Limoges (2-7) moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with CFBB and Roannais. Dunkerque at the other side dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. They share it with Montbrison and Aulnoye. Limoges is looking forward to face higher ranked Bretagne Basket (#3) in Pleyber-Christ in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Dunkerque will play on the road against Arras (#5) and is hoping to win this game.
