Regular Season Round 7: Pauian - Yulon Luxgen 74-78

An exciting game was when second ranked Second ranked Yulon Luxgen faced 4th placed Pauian. Yulon Luxgen (7-2) defeated Pauian (4-6) 78-74. Yulon Luxgen forced 22 Pauian turnovers. Strangely Pauian outrebounded Yulon Luxgen 48-34 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Ivorian-French power forward Herve Lamizana (208-81, college: Rutgers, agency: Basket Management Solutions) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 5 rebounds. The former international guard Shih-Yuan Chou (188-83) helped adding 16 points. Yulon Luxgen's coach Yong-Tai Wei used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side international power forward Quincy Davis (206-83, college: Tulane) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and the former international swingman Ching-Pang Lin (190-85) scored 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Yulon Luxgen maintains second place with 7-2 record behind leader Fubon Braves. Loser Pauian dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Yulon Luxgen will meet league's leader Fubon Braves in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pauian will play against Taiwan Beer (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
