Fifth-ranked Liaoning Hengye (1-6) gave a tough game to leader Bayi Kylin (7-0) in Anshan. The visitors from Yinzhou managed to secure only three-point victory 96-93. However their fans expected much easier game. Bayi Kylin dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Liaoning Hengye's 40 and made 16-of-17 charity shots (94.1 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Liaoning Hengye 47-25 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for international center Mengran Sun (197-92) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. International forward MengXin Sun (190-93) accounted for 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Guard TingTing Wang (175-91) came up with 25 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals and American center Kelsey Bone (193-91, college: Texas A&M) added 23 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Liaoning Hengye in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Bayi Kylin. They maintain first place in Group B with 7-0 record. Liaoning Hengye lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Shandong. Bayi Kylin will play against league's second-placed Xinjiang in Urumqi in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Liaoning Hengye will play at home against Heilongjiang Chenneng and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
