Regular Season Round 13: Trefl II Sopot - Goleniow 65-58

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Trefl II Sopot (7-5) defeated at home 9th ranked Goleniow (5-7) 65-58 on Sunday. Goleniow was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Bartosz Majewski (188-97) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard Lukasz Kolenda (191-99) chipped in 12 points. Power forward Arkadiusz Soczewski (201-82) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and Tomasz Balcerek (190-87) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Trefl II Sopot. They moved-up to fifth place in Group A, which they share with AZS PGd. Goleniow lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with seven games lost. Trefl II Sopot will face league's leader Pelplin in Pelpin in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Goleniow will play at home against Asseco II (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
