Regular Season Round 9: PGE Turow - Start Lublin 106-74

The game between third ranked PGE Turow (7-3) and 17th ranked TBV Start (1-9) in Zgorzelec on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. PGE Turow outscored guests from Lublin 106-74. The game without a history. PGE Turow led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by TBV Start's players. The former international Mateusz Kostrzewski (200-89) nailed 24 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winning side and American center Kirk Archibeque (205-84, college: Fort Lewis) accounted for 19 points and 10 rebounds. American power forward Brandon Peterson (204-90, college: Arkansas St., agency: Inception Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import guard Doug Wiggins (183-88, college: Mountain St.) added 14 points respectively for TBV Start in the defeat. Five PGE Turow and four TBV Start players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. PGE Turow maintains third place with 7-3 record having just one point less than leader Torun, which they share with Anwil and MKS DG. Loser TBV Start stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. They share it with Siarka. PGE Turow will meet Anwil (#5) in the next round. TBV Start will play against the league's second-placed Stelmet (#2) and hope to win that game.
