Important game to mention about took place in Antwerpen. Fourth ranked Gent Hawks (10-3) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked Soba (8-5) 72-69 on Sunday evening. Soba was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Rik Van den Berghe (206-93) stepped up and scored 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and Joeri Vermoesen chipped in 14 points. Four Gent Hawks players scored in double figures. At the losing side Amaury Marion (199-91) responded with 21 points and guard Yiri Deville (-94) scored 15 points. Gent Hawks have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Gembo BBC and Oxaco. Soba at the other side keeps the fifth position with five games lost. Gent Hawks will play against RPC Anderlecht (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Soba will play against the league's leader Waregem (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
