Regular Season Round 8: Yulon Luxgen - Fubon Braves 59-74

An interesting game for Fubon Braves (9-2) which played against second-ranked Yulon Luxgen (7-3). First ranked Fubon Braves had an easy win 74-59. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Yulon Luxgen. They outrebounded Yulon Luxgen 49-19 including a 36-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Canadian center Liam McMorrow (218-87, college: Tenn Tech) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 18 rebounds. The former international forward Hsiao-Jung Chen (197-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Five Fubon Braves players scored in double figures. Ivorian-French power forward Herve Lamizana (208-81, college: Rutgers, agency: Basket Management Solutions) replied with 24 points and 6 rebounds and the former international forward Cheng-Ju Lu (194-86) added 10 points in the effort for Yulon Luxgen. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fubon Braves maintains first position with 9-2 record. Yulon Luxgen at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost. They share the position with Dacin Tigers. Fubon Braves are looking forward to face Taiwan Beer (#4) in the next round. Yulon Luxgen will play against KKL and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
