Regular Season Round 13: LF Future - KFUM Uppsala 80-77

Eighth-ranked KFUM Uppsala (2-7) was very close to win a game against third ranked LF Future (7-2) in Lulea. LF Future managed to secure only three-point victory 80-77. However their fans expected much easier game. KFUM Uppsala cut a 18-point halftime deficit to three at the end of the game. LF Future dominated on the defensive end, holding KFUM Uppsala to just 7 points in second quarter. They also forced 25 KFUM Uppsala turnovers. Naturalized Iraqi forward Samir Ali Hussein (200-92) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and point guard Caleb Musie (175-95) chipped in 24 points. Four LF Future players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Tobias Skyttevall (196-95) responded with 22 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Oskar Ekman (192-99) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. KFUM Uppsala's coach Ike Person let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. LF Future maintains third place with 7-2 record having just three points less than leader Djurgarden, which they share with Eskilstuna. KFUM Uppsala lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with BG Lulea and Jamtland II. LF Future will play against Taby Basket (#6) on the road in the next round. KFUM Uppsala will play against KFUM Blackeberg in Vallingby and hopes to get back on the winning track.
