Regular Season Round 10: Valmontone - Teramo 74-65

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Valmontone (8-1) beat at home 7th ranked Teramo (4-4) 74-65 on Sunday. Valmontone made 26-of-33 free shots (78.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 29 Teramo turnovers. Strangely Teramo outrebounded Valmontone 36-24 including 23 on the defensive glass. Teramo was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international power forward Luca Bisconti (206-82) scored 23 points to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized Argentinian swingman Manuel Carrizo (198-80, agency: Players Group) chipped in 18 points during the contest. At the losing side guard Francesco Papa (196-95) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds and guard Simone Salamina (188-88) scored 20 points. Four Teramo players scored in double figures. Valmontone maintains third position in B with 8-1 record having just one point less than leader Bergamo. Newly promoted Teramo keeps the seventh place with four games lost. Valmontone will face league's second-placed Roma Luiss on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Teramo will play against the league's leader Napoli Cuore (#1) and hope to win that game.
