Regular Season Round 20: Yamanashi QB - Niigata R. 75-78

Bottom-ranked Yamanashi QB (0-18) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 78-75 loss to eleventh ranked Niigata R. (2-16) in Yamanashi on Sunday evening. Yamanashi QB was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Mei Chi (175-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Sangi Kanade (169-86) who added 17 points during the contest. Guard Miki Huzii (165-87) responded with 23 points and 5 rebounds and center Rr En (184-94) scored 16 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Niigata R. moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Aishin AW. Newly promoted Yamanashi QB still closes the standings. Niigata R. will meet at home Aishin Wings (#10) in the next round. Yamanashi QB will play against Hitachi Cougars and hopes to get finally their first victory.
