Regular Season Round 21: Toyotsu FE - Shinshu BW 83-58

B League D2 top team - Toyotsu FE (17-3) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Shinshu BW (6-14) in Nagoya 83-58. The game without a history. Toyotsu FE led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Shinshu BW to just 7 points in third quarter. Toyotsu FE dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Shinshu BW's 22 and made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. It was a good game for Nigerian center Solomon Alabi (216-88, college: Florida St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Yuto Otsuka (188-90) contributed with 10 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. American power forward Jamal Boykin (203-87, college: California) answered with 7 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import forward Terrance Shannon (203-90, college: VCU) added 3 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Shinshu BW. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyotsu FE have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 17-3 record, which they share with Kumamoto V. Shinshu BW lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 14 games lost. Toyotsu FE will face league's leader Kumamoto V. at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
