Regular Season Round 13: Trelleborg - Huddinge 109-61

Date: December 4, 2016
Rather expected game when 8th ranked Huddinge (3-7) was smashed on the road by fifth ranked Trelleborg (6-2) 109-61 on Sunday. The game without a history. Trelleborg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Huddinge's 36. They outrebounded Huddinge 55-29 including a 33-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Quite impressive performance for guard Papy Ndiaye (187-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Australian guard John Fitzgerald (193-84, college: Lindsey Wilson) contributed with 22 points and 4 steals for the winners. Four Trelleborg players scored in double figures. Guard Adam Fontaine (190-95) answered with 18 points and 6 rebounds and center Leonard Halling-Ibo (200-92) added 9 points and 4 assists in the effort for Huddinge. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Trelleborg. They maintain fifth place with 6-2 record. Huddinge lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. Trelleborg will face Talje Knights (#7) on the road in the next round. Huddinge will play against Talje Knights and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
