Regular Season Round 14: Zhejiang GB - Jiangsu D. 92-106

There was no surprise when 15th ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (4-10) lost to twelfth ranked Jiangsu Dragons (7-7) in Hangzhou 92-106. Jiangsu Dragons made 25-of-32 charity shots (78.1 percent) during the game. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. 28 personal fouls committed by Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American swingman MarShon Brooks (196-89, college: Providence) who scored 40 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. Jamaican power forward Samardo Samuels (206-89, college: Louisville) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. Jiangsu Dragons' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Willie Warren (193-89, college: Oklahoma) produced 30 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and the former international center Dayu Zhang (212-91) added 10 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for the hosts. Four Jiangsu Dragons and five Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank players scored in double figures. Jiangsu Dragons moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Shanxi Zh. and Jilin NE T. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with ten games lost. Jiangsu Dragons' next round opponent will be Jiangsu TX (#18) at home and are hoping to win another game. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank will play against Guangzhou and hope to win that game.
