There was a minor upset when higher ranked Treviglio (5-5) was edged at home by tenth ranked Roma Virtus (5-5) 108-106 on Sunday. Roma Virtus shot 62.7 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. Roma Virtus looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Naturalized American point guard Anthony Raffa (185-89, college: Co.Carolina) fired 25 points for the winners. The former international swingman Daniele Sandri (197-90) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Lithuanian Paulius Sorokas (202-92, agency: Players Group) produced 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and naturalized American guard Adam Sollazzo (198-90, college: E.Tenn.St.) added 20 points, 9 assists and 4 steals respectively for lost side. Five Roma Virtus and four Treviglio players scored in double figures. Roma Virtus moved-up to eighth place in A2. Roma Virtus will face higher ranked Lighthouse TR (#4) in Trapani in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Treviglio will play on the road against Viola RC (#14) in Reggio Calabria and hope to win that game.
