Regular Season Round 10: Roseto - Chieti 82-80

There was no surprise when 13th ranked Chieti (3-7) was edged on the road by fourth ranked Roseto (7-3) 82-80 on Sunday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. American power forward Brandon Sherrod (198-92, college: Yale) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Guard Nicola Mei (186-85) chipped in 22 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Roseto players scored in double figures. Roseto's coach Emanuele Di Paolantonio used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Trae Golden (188-91, college: Georgia Tech) produced 29 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Cade Davis (197-88, college: Oklahoma, agency: Two Points) added 23 points respectively for lost side. Roseto moved-up to third place in A2. Loser Chieti dropped to the fifteenth position with seven games lost. Roseto will face F.Kontatto BO (#4) in Bologna in the next round. Chieti will play at home against Recanati (#16) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
