Regular Season Round 10: Montecatini - Firenze Enic 85-52

Very expected game when bottom-ranked Firenze Enic (0-10) was crushed on the road by sixth ranked Montecatiniterme (6-3) 85-52 on Sunday. Montecatiniterme forced 21 Firenze Enic turnovers. Firenze Enic was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Tommaso Bianchi (190-93) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and forward Marco Petrucci (195-92) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side center Lorenzo Galmarini (200-95) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and guard Diego Terenzi (191-95) scored 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Montecatiniterme moved-up to fourth place in B. Firenze Enic at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with ten games lost. Montecatiniterme will face Oleggio (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Firenze Enic will play against Piombino and hopes to get finally their first victory.
