Everything could happen in Starogard at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Wilki Morskie and 12th ranked Polpharma had identical 4-5 record. But Polpharma was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Szczecin 81-64 on Sunday night. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. American forward Taylor Brown (200-89, college: Bradley, agency: Three Eye Sports) nailed 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and the former international swingman Pawel Kikowski (193-86) accounted for 17 points. Four Wilki Morskie players scored in double figures. Wilki Morskie's coach Marek Lukomski used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Serbian power forward Uros Mirkovic (205-82, agency: BeoExcell) came up with 21 points and 5 rebounds and forward Lukasz Diduszko (196-86) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Polpharma in the defeat. Wilki Morskie (5-5) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Krosno. Loser Polpharma keeps the twelfth position with six games lost. They share it with Stal Ostrow. Wilki Morskie will meet higher ranked Asseco (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Polpharma will play against MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (#4) and hope to secure a win.
