Not a big story in a game in Caserta where 11th ranked Brescia (4-6) was defeated by fifth ranked Juvecaserta (7-3) 89-83 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 23-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Dominican-American point guard Edgar Sosa (190-88, college: Louisville) scored 28 points and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Mitchell Watt (208-89, college: Buffalo) chipped in 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side American David Moss (196-83, college: Indiana St.) responded with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import forward Marcus Landry (201-85, college: Wisconsin) scored 29 points. Juvecaserta moved-up to third place, which they share with Umana VE and Scandone AV. Newly promoted Brescia dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Juvecaserta will meet Auxilium TO (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Brescia will play against Vanoli Cremona and hope to secure a win.
